Fulton Hogan Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Quarry Manager for Fernhill Quarry in Napier. This hands-on role supports the Quarry Manager with daily operations, equipment handling, and team supervision to keep production safe and efficient.

You will help manage safety, quality, and environmental standards, coordinate site activities, and mentor crew members. A strong safety mindset, teamwork, and proactive problem solving are essential for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• A or B Grade Quarry Manager Qualification (current) or working towards qualification.
• Class 1, 2, 4 licences and WTR’s essential.
• Sound knowledge of quarry operations, mobile plant, and day-to-day site coordination.

Responsibilities

• Support The Quarry Manager with the daily operation of Fernhill Quarry.
• Coordinate site activities to keep production moving safely and efficiently.
• Operate machinery when needed and cover team breaks.
• Work with the crew to maintain a safe, productive site.
• Monitor day-to-day performance, plant use, and site requirements.
• Drive safety, quality, and environmental standards across the quarry.
• Build positive relationships and contribute to a flat, low-ego culture.
• Assist with planning, problem solving, and keeping the site running smoothly.
