Job summary

Aurora College seeks an Assistant Principal to lead Curriculum, Teaching & Learning across Years 7–15, including wharekura. The role emphasizes building strong relationships with stakeholders and improving student engagement and achievement through effective pedagogy.

The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership in Curriculum/Teaching and Learning, with knowledge of PB4L and restorative practices. Collaboration with staff and a focus on school-wide improvement are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in leadership within a school context.
• Deep knowledge of the NZ Curriculum, NCEA and effective pedagogy.
• Ability to develop positive relationships and work collaboratively in a team.
• Understanding PB4L (Positive Behaviour for Learning) and restorative practices.

Responsibilities
