Craigmore Sustainables LLP is seeking an Assistant Orchard Manager for our Hastings orchard. You will work closely with the Orchard Manager, supervise staff, and drive daily operations to maximise production while maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient workplace.

You will lead seasonal teams, ensure quality standards, and foster a motivated, skilled workforce in Hawke's Bay. This role offers hands-on orchard experience and growth within Craigmore’s horticulture portfolio.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and people management abilities.
• Knowledge and experience in apple orchard production.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Good planning skills.
• Genuine commitment to health and safety.
• Grow Safe, First Aid, and OSH forklift licences (or willingness to obtain).
• Full NZ driver’s licence.

About the role

Craigmore is looking for an Assistant Orchard Manager to join the team at our newly acquired orchard on Hill Road in Hastings. As our Assistant Orchard Manager, you’ll be hands-on in the orchard, working alongside our Orchard Manager to maximise production, lead seasonal teams, and ensure operations run smoothly and safely.

• Overseeing day-to-day orchard operations across your allocated block

The Apples Team are a key part of Craigmore’s horticulture portfolio, with orchards located across Hawke’s Bay and Tairāwhiti. We strive to produce the best apples each season, while growing great people.
