Job summary

Craigmore Sustainables in Pātūtahi, New Zealand, is looking for a dedicated Spray Operator/Orchard Hand to ensure the health of our apple orchards. You'll be involved in spraying operations, mowing, weed spraying, and property maintenance.

As our Spray Operator/Orchard Hand, you'll be at the forefront of our spraying operations, ensuring the health and vitality of our crops while adhering to strict safety protocols and compliance standards. But that's not all – you'll also dive into a variety of other tasks, from mowing and weed spraying to property maintenance and tree husbandry work. Every day will bring new challenges and opportunities to showcase your skills and make a real impact.

We're looking for someone with:

• A strong commitment to health and safety, with a safety-first attitude that guides everything you do.
• Previous experience in spraying crops is preferred, but not essential – we’re willing to train the right candidate.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, especially around spraying schedules and maintenance tasks.
• A Grow Safe certificate would be a definite advantage.
• Mechanical prowess and the ability to operate and maintain a wide range of machinery and tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with team members and stakeholders.
