Job summary

Fonterra Te Mātāpuna is seeking an Assistant Farm Manager to support two dairy farms, ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable operations. You will lead daily activities, implement grazing plans, and coordinate contractors and key stakeholders while maintaining high standards across the farm.

With at least two years of practical dairy farming experience, you will bring strong livestock, pasture, and people management skills, and a keen focus on health, safety, and environmental practices.

Qualifications

• Two years practical dairy farming experience.
• Leadership or supervisory experience on a dairy farm.
• Strong knowledge of dairy farming operations including animal health and pasture management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily farm activities and lead the Farm Manager when required.
• Coordinate contractors and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain high dairy shed standards and implement grazing plans.
• Ensure animal health records are kept up to date and farm equipment is well maintained.
