Job summary

Fonterra Te Mātāpuna invites applications for an Assistant Farm Manager to support two dairy farms in the Waikato region. You will assist the Farm Manager to run safe, efficient, and sustainable farming operations on our Te Rapa and Orini blocks.

You'll lead day-to-day activities when the Farm Manager is away, implement grazing plans, maintain high dairy shed standards, manage contractors and stakeholders, and uphold our environmental and health & safety commitments across the site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an Assistant Farm Manager or similar leadership role.
• Sound knowledge of dairy farming operations, including mating, reproduction, and animal health.
• Strong stock and pasture management capability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily farm activities and assist Farm Manager to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Implement grazing plans and maintain high dairy shed standards.
• Coordinate contractors and key stakeholders for farm projects.
• Maintain animal health and production records; ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Support environmental management and equipment maintenance across two farms.
