This role is a great first step into the world of catchment operations and flood risk asset management. You will work closely with staff across the operational and technical teams to support operational planning and programme verification. Field activities will include asset inspections, mapping of gravel aggradation sites and bank erosion using ArcGIS Field Maps & Survey123. Office based activities will primarily include a literature review of operational and technical information including logging and registering reports and recommendations that will inform programmes of work.
This position is available from November 2026 - 12 February 2027. You are eligible to apply if you are currently enrolled in a tertiary institution or have graduated this year. All Summer Student roles are offered at a rate of $29.90 per hour and a 37.5-hour week.
