Job summary

ACCIONA Energía is seeking an Asset Engineer to shape the design review process for a major Northland transport corridor in New Zealand. You will influence design decisions, assess asset performance, and embed long-term O&M outcomes from the outset while working across disciplines with asset, design and operations teams.

This role suits an early to intermediate career engineer looking to accelerate development in a PPP environment, delivering a legacy asset for generations while supporting

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in infrastructure asset management and maintenance.
• Experience with reviewing engineering designs and construction inspection.
• Understanding lifecycle, reliability, maintainability and whole-of-life principles.
• Data mining and analysis of asset condition and performance data.
• Developing O&M manuals and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review asset designs for safety, maintainability and whole-of-life performance.
• Prepare operational documentation and review asset information for handover.
• Inspect construction work and monitor progress against operational requirements.
• Assess asset performance and risks, and investigate defects and failures.
• Support commissioning and operational readiness ahead of the operations phase.
• Plan asset renewals and identify ways to improve lifecycle outcomes.
