Job Description

We are seeking two Casual Assessment Integrity Support staff members to join our team within Assessment Services to support one of the University's busiest assessment periods.

Working as part of a small and dedicated team, you will play an important role in supporting the University's assessment integrity processes. You will review recordings and supporting data from online examinations, identify potential breaches of examination rules and procedures, and prepare accurate, objective reports for further review.

This role requires a high level of attention to detail, professionalism, and discretion. You will work with large volumes of information and sensitive data, ensuring that established procedures and guidelines are applied consistently while maintaining confidentiality at all times.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy analytical work, can exercise sound judgement, and are comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.

This is a casual position designed to support short-term operational requirements. Hours will vary based on business needs and will be agreed with the successful candidates. The hourly rate for this role is $29 per hour.

Assessment Services plays a critical role in supporting assessment delivery and academic integrity across the University. Our team works closely with staff and students to ensure assessment processes are fair, consistent, and aligned with University regulations and procedures.

We are committed to upholding the integrity of the University's assessment framework while providing high-quality support services that contribute to student success and academic excellence.

You will be a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and written communication skills.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Strong written communication and report-writing abilities.
  • Confidence working with digital systems and technology.
  • The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

  • The ability to quickly learn new information and processes.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • The ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
  • A commitment to following established procedures and maintaining high standards of quality.

Previous experience reviewing documentation, conducting investigations, quality assurance activities, compliance work, or administrative support would be advantageous but is not essential.

The University of Auckland is committed to providing an excellent working environment and meaningful opportunities to contribute to the success of New Zealand's leading university.

We offer:

  • Flexible casual work based on operational requirements.
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Valuable experience within a large and complex organisation.
  • The opportunity to contribute to maintaining academic integrity and assessment quality.
  • Ongoing learning and development within a professional higher education environment.
