Job summary

Fred Recruitment Pte Ltd in Auckland, North Island, seeks a mechanically minded electrical assembler for a long-term opportunity with an immediate start. You’ll work with an experienced engineer to dismantle, assemble, refurbish and pack electrical equipment, with a strong emphasis on quality and process adherence.

You’ll maintain a clean, safe workshop and contribute to continuous learning within a global business.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical or HVAC assembly preferred but not essential.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow assembly processes.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a hands-on role.

Responsibilities

• Dismantling and reassembling electrical equipment and components.
• Assembling pipework, fittings and other electrical parts.
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure work is completed accurately.
• Packing completed units ready for dispatch.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop.
• Working closely with the Service Manager and workshop engineer.

We are on the look out for a mechanically minded electrical assembler, who is ready for their next step – this is a long term opportunity with an immediate start.

About the Role

Working alongside an experienced engineer, you’ll play an important role in preparing electrical equipment ready for dispatch. This is a varied, hands on position involving dismantling, assembling, refurbishing and packing equipment, with plenty of opportunity to learn from experienced professionals.

Your day to day will include:

• Dismantling and reassembling electrical equipment and components
• Assembling pipework, fittings and other electrical parts
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure work is completed accurately
• Packing completed units ready for dispatch
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop
• Working closely with the Service Manager and workshop engineer

This role will begin as a temporary assignment with the intention of becoming permanent. Once permanent, you’ll become eligible for a range of additional employee benefits, including health insurance and bonus opportunities. This is a business you will want to get your foot in the door with!

Ideally you’ll have:

• Previous experience in electrical or HVAC assembly, manufacturing, engineering or a workshop environment would be ideal but not a deal breaker
• You may be a recent uni graduate looking for a role to apply your engineering knowledge
• Experience with HVAC units would be highly desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow assembly processes
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• A good level of physical fitness for a hands on role (you will be on your feet all day!)
• A strong work ethic with a reliable attendance record
• Steel capped work boots and availability to start ASAP
