Job summary

HEB Construction's Auckland System Management Alliance is hiring an experienced Asphalt Laying Operator to support maintenance and renewals across Auckland's motorway network. You will operate bobcats, rollers, pavers and trucks, and contribute to other labouring tasks when asphalt work is weather dependent.

This full-time night-shift role (Sunday to Thursday) is based in Auckland with a supportive crew. Ideal candidates will hold a Full Class 1 NZ Drivers licence with WTR endorsement; Class 2

Qualifications

• Valid NZ driver’s license with WTR endorsement.
• Class 2 licence is advantageous.
• Asphalt paving experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate bobcats, rollers, pavers and Class 2 trucks.
• Participate in other labouring tasks due to weather conditions.
• Work the night shift from Sunday to Thursday.
• Location: Auckland.

About the Auckland System Management (ASM) Alliance

The ASM is an alliance between HEB Construction, Fulton Hogan and Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency to operate and maintain Auckland's motorway network. The Alliance is expected to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders as well as suppliers to deliver exceptional outcomes for customers using the Auckland transport system.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Asphalt Laying Operator to join our team to support the delivery of various pavement maintenance and renewals activities across the Auckland state highway and motorway network, including road surface rehabilitation and stabilisation, road widening and pavement overlays.

As Asphalt Laying Operator, you will operate a variety of specialist equipment including bobcats, rollers, pavers and Class 2 trucks. You will also participate in other labouring tasks, due to asphalt work being weather dependent.

This is a full-time position working night shift Sunday to Thursday, working within a supportive crew.

Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, experience, and skills:

• Full Class 1 New Zealand Drivers licence with WTR endorsement.


• Class 2 license advantageous.


• Asphalt paving experience advantageous but not essential.
