Job summary

Upper Echelon NZ is seeking an experienced AI Solutions Engineer for a 6-month contract to deliver Voice AI and Agentic AI solutions across NZ and Australia. You will take AI from POC to production, working on MCP servers, LLMs, RAG, and AI automation, with deployments on NVIDIA GPU infrastructure using Docker and Kubernetes.

You will collaborate with customers to translate business problems into technical solutions, integrating with REST APIs and AI platforms like ElevenLabs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering, solutions engineering, integration or technical delivery.
• Strong Python and/or TypeScript.
• Hands-on with MCP, LLMs, RAG, LangChain/LlamaIndex and AI agents.
• Experience with Voice AI, conversational AI and telephony.
• Comfortable working directly with customers and turning business problems into technical solutions.
• Experience with GPU / self-hosted AI infrastructure is highly desirable.
