Job summary

Spotswood College International in New Zealand is seeking a creative and enthusiastic art teacher to join the Art team in 2027. The position is full-time and fixed-term for leave cover from 28 January 2026 to 27 January 2027, teaching secondary students (Years 7–15) and wharekura.

You will state your area of expertise and contribute to developing engaging art programmes that inspire students to grow their skills and confidence in the arts. Certification as a teacher in NZ is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current NZ teaching certificate.
• Experience teaching art to secondary students (Years 7–15) is preferred.
• Ability to inspire and develop students' artistic skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach art to secondary and wharekura students.
• Develop engaging lessons and assess student progress.
• Collaborate with the Art team to plan curricula.
