Job summary

Papakura Intermediate is seeking an enthusiastic Art or Performing Arts teacher to bring fresh ideas, creative energy and purposeful learning to our Year 7 and 8 Technology programme. With small classes, you will nurture students' creativity and confidence while building strong relationships.

You will design engaging hands-on learning that values students' cultures and voices, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to our kura's vision of innovative learners and leaders.

Imagine a teaching role where your passion for the arts is at the heart of every day - where you help young people discover their talents, express who they are and find the confidence to share their creativity.

At Papakura Intermediate, we are looking for an enthusiastic Art or Performing Arts Teacher to bring fresh ideas, creative energy and purposeful learning to our Year 7 and 8 Technology programme.

With small classes of 10–15 students, you will have the opportunity to build strong relationships, nurture individual strengths and make space for students to experiment, take creative risks and experience success. Our programme welcomes learners from our own kura and valued local schools, supporting our vision of being a ‘Home to Innovative Learners and Leaders’.

Whether your strengths lie in visual arts, drama, dance or music, we want to hear what you could bring to P.I.
