Job summary

KiwiQuest Ltd. is recruiting seasonal orchard workers to thin apple and pear trees in Tasman Village. This outdoor role is physically demanding and runs from late November to mid-December.

You will climb ladders up to 2.5 metres, lift 16–20 kg, and work about 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with Saturdays as required. Full training provided; NZD 24.00–28.80 per hour.

Qualifications

• Physical ability to stand and work outdoors for 8–9 hours daily.
• Ability to climb ladders and manually handle 16–20 kg.
• Willingness to follow health and safety procedures.
• Reliable transport and ability to drive to work.

Responsibilities

• Thin apple and pear trees by hand during the orchard season.
• Climb ladders up to approximately 2.5 metres for extended periods.
• Lift and handle materials weighing approximately 16 to 20 kg.
• Work on foot while twisting, bending, climbing, walking and pivoting.
• Follow SunSmart, health and safety, and thinning procedures.
• Drive to the orchard and work 40 hours Monday to Friday, with Saturdays as required.
