Job summary

Vista Group is seeking an intermediate level Business Analyst to join the Integration Platform team in Auckland. You’ll help define how customers and partners integrate with Vista systems through APIs, translating requirements into specifications for scalable, secure API-based solutions.

You will work with product, engineering, and architecture to clarify data needs, define API requirements, and create user stories and acceptance criteria; ensuring non-functional concerns like security and

Qualifications

• Proven experience gathering and documenting requirements relating to software delivery APIs and integrations.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to break down problems into structured solutions.
• Confident communicator who can engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in evolving environments and adapting to new problem areas.

Responsibilities

• Support discovery, scoping, and requirements gathering for integration and API-driven initiatives.
• Clarify integration use cases and data requirements with product, engineering, and SMEs.
• Define API requirements, data mappings, and user stories.
• Analyse data to ensure it is exposed via APIs in a clear, usable way.
• Define integration flows between Vista systems and external platforms.
• Capture non-functional requirements such as security, performance, and scalability.
• Facilitate workshops and align stakeholders on requirements.
• Produce artefacts including user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and docs.
