Job summary

Fusion5 is seeking an Analytics & AI Consultant to join NZ Data & Analytics, in Auckland or Wellington (Christchurch considered). You’ll own analytics, reporting, Power BI models and data storytelling, helping clients adopt practical AI on trusted data.

You’ll stay hands-on with Microsoft Fabric/Azure, lead workshops, and elevate the team’s analytics and AI capability across the Fabric/Azure stack.

Qualifications

Solid analytics/BI and reporting delivery in a consulting or client-facing environment.
Strong data modelling, semantic-layer knowledge, and Power BI skills.
Hands-on experience with AI enablement on Microsoft front-end AI stack.
Experience with AI governance and responsible AI concepts.
Strong consulting and stakeholder-management abilities.
Strong SQL and experience with Fabric semantic layer.
Data-engineering versatility; Databricks or Snowflake is a bonus.

Responsibilities

Design and build analytics and reporting solutions with data modelling and Power BI on Fabric/Azure.
Help clients adopt front-end AI (Copilot, Fabric Copilot, Data Agents) with governed data and AI governance.
Lead requirements workshops; bridge business and technical stakeholders.
Work across Fabric/Azure data-engineering stack; Databricks or Snowflake valued.
Champion AI in delivery and solutions for clients.
Support presales and contribute to reusable assets and knowledge base.
