Job description

Southern Cross Wellington Hospital is a private elective surgical hospital. The hospital features day procedure facilities, five operating theatres and a modern High Dependency unit - all of which allows the hospital to provide for the needs of a variety of patients, including those requiring complex surgical procedures. Clinical services include Orthopaedic surgery, Neurosurgery, Colorectal surgery, Gynaecology, Paediatric surgery, Ear, Nose & Throat, Ophthalmology, Oncology and Urology.

First established in 1992, the hospital has seen significant additions and upgrades on the site over recent years. The new building adjacent to the hospital at 88 Hanson Street houses a state-of-the-art Day Stay surgical facility (Wellington Surgical Centre), Affinity Medical imaging and the Southern Cross Specialist Centre.

Whether you're looking to pick up additional shifts around your existing commitments or simply enjoy the variety that comes with casual work, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive perioperative service where your contribution is genuinely valued.

From preparing equipment and supporting anaesthetic procedures to helping create a calm and positive experience for patients, you'll play an important role in the surgical journey.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a team, thrives in a busy environment, and is passionate about delivering great patient care. In return, you'll join a friendly and collaborative group of professionals who support one another and take pride in the work they do.
