Job summary

Air New Zealand is seeking an Airworthiness Engineer in Auckland. You’ll apply hands-on aircraft experience to support safe, reliable and cost-effective operations, within our Airworthiness Team.

You will analyse data, produce technical reports, influence engineering decisions, engage with vendors and regulators, and contribute to continuous improvement. A minimum of two years’ mechanical experience on large commercial aircraft is required; an Aerospace or Aviation Engineering qualification is

Qualifications

• At least two years of mechanical experience working on large commercial aircraft.
• An Aerospace or Aviation Engineering qualification is preferred, or relevant equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience in an aircraft maintenance environment would be an advantage.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to develop sound solutions and influence decisions.
• Confident written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong computer skills, with SAP knowledge beneficial but not essential.

Your engineering judgement can directly influence the safety, reliability and performance of Air New Zealand’s fleet. As an Airworthiness Engineer, you’ll apply your hands-on aircraft experience to complex technical challenges, helping ensure our aircraft continue to operate safely, reliably and cost-effectively.
This is a permanent, full-time position, working 40 hours per week, within our Airworthiness Team in Auckland. You’ll join a highly skilled group of technical specialists where your expertise and perspective will be valued, while building your capability across a broad range of engineering challenges.

How you’ll make an impact
