Job summary

Air New Zealand Limited is seeking a Cabin Maintenance Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to ensure cabins meet the highest safety and quality standards. You will perform inspections, repairs, and modifications, diagnosing defects to minimise downtime and keep the fleet available for service.

This role supports Air New Zealand’s safety-first culture and collaboration across engineering and operations, with opportunities for growth and ongoing development in a leading airline fleet.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a mechanical related NZ Trade Certificate or an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer qualification.
  • Previous experience in an aviation maintenance environment is highly regarded.
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Commitment to delivering safe, high-quality work in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out cabin maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications to ensure aircraft are safe, compliant, and ready for service.
  • Diagnose and resolve cabin defects efficiently, minimising downtime and maximising fleet availability.
  • Complete maintenance activities in line with Civil Aviation Authority requirements and Air New Zealand engineering standards.
  • Work closely with engineering and operational teams to deliver aircraft safely and on schedule.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, reliability, and the customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and support a strong safety-first culture.

How you'll make an impact

What we're looking for
