Job summary

Airways International Ltd (AIM) invites an experienced AIM Specialist focused on GIS and charting to join the Aeropath team based in the AON Centre, Wellington Central. You will work on aeronautical charts, geospatial datasets and publications across New Zealand and internationally, leveraging modern GIS technologies and data-driven workflows.

Requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• GIS, cartography or spatial data management experience.
• Geospatial databases and data-driven workflows experience.
• Open-source GIS technologies and their configuration or administration.
• Process automation, systems improvement or software-supported workflows.
• Mapping, charting or technical publishing environments.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain aeronautical charts, geospatial datasets and publications.
• Perform GIS analysis, cartography and spatial data management.
• Develop GIS-based, data-driven charting solutions.
• Administer PostgreSQL/PostGIS databases and spatial data infrastructure.
• Develop Python-based automation to improve workflows.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure data quality and suitability.
• Continuously improve charting systems, standards and publishing processes.
