Job summary

KiwiRail is seeking two Geospatial Analysts to join the Digital Infrastructure team in Wellington. You will support geospatial re-platforming and build modern GIS solutions using ArcGIS Enterprise, FME, and related tools, enabling safer, smarter rail asset management and national infrastructure projects.

You will work with project teams, stakeholders, and technical specialists to deliver fit-for-purpose geospatial systems and provide training and support on modern technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Pro.
• Experience building maps, dashboards, and web/mobile GIS solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Understand business challenges and design fit-for-purpose geospatial solutions.
• Create and derive geospatial datasets and improve existing datasets.
• Build FME workflows to automate data updates.
• Develop webmaps, dashboards, and GIS applications using ArcGIS technologies.
• Provide GIS training and support to project teams transitioning to new tech.
• Extract geospatial data and create adhoc maps on request.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver meaningful business outcomes.
