Job summary

Farmlands Greymouth is seeking a customer-focused retail team member to support shareholders with sales and service. You will advise on sheep and beef, dry stock, and general agricultural products, and operate the POS system to process transactions.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, experience in retail or customer service, and the ability to handle physical tasks up to 25 kg. A positive team culture and ongoing development opportunities await.

Qualifications

• Experience or background in the farming sector, with an interest in sheep and beef, dry stock and general agricultural products.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of customers.
• Retail sales or customer service experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
• Sound computer skills, with confidence using point-of-sale systems and basic administrative tools.
• The ability to carry out the physical requirements of the role, including regular manual handling and lifting up to 25 kg.

Responsibilities

• Providing retail sales and customer service to our shareholders.
• Advising customers on a range of sheep and beef, dry stock and general agricultural products.
• Operating a point of sale (POS) system.
• Completing administrative tasks such as ordering and receipting of stock.
• Restocking and displaying our products.
