Job summary

Farmlands is seeking a team member for our Wellsford store, working 40 hours per week. You will provide retail sales and customer service to our shareholders, advise on farming products, operate the POS, and handle stock administration.

You'll bring farming sector knowledge, strong interpersonal skills, and practical ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Forklift and first aid are bonus points; you'll join a Kiwi-owned co-op focused on teamwork and support for farmers.

Qualifications

• Experience or background in the farming sector, with an interest in sheep and beef.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of customers.
• Retail sales or customer service experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
• Sound computer skills, with confidence using point-of-sale systems and basic administrative tools.
• Ability to carry out the physical requirements of the role, including regular manual handling and lifting and carrying items up to 25 kg.

Responsibilities

• Provide retail sales and customer service to our shareholders.
• Advise customers on a range of sheep and beef, dry stock and general agricultural products.
• Operate a point of sale (POS) system.
• Complete administrative tasks such as ordering and receipting of stock.
• Restocking and displaying our products.
