Job summary

Westpac New Zealand is seeking a capable Agribusiness Banking professional to manage a diverse client portfolio in Ashburton or Timaru. You will work with credit analysts and product partners to craft financial solutions, deepen relationships, and act as a trusted advisor on lending and banking needs.

Ideal candidates will hold a tertiary qualification in Agribusiness or Finance and have banking, lending or farming experience to help drive innovation and productivity in a dynamic market.

Mō te tūranga | About the Role

Reporting to the Area Manager, you will manage a varied portfolio of Agribusiness customers. Working closely with your credit analysts and product partners, you will develop and deliver the best strategy and financial solutions using innovation and insight to truly add value and become a trusted advisor. You will develop new and existing relationships with key customers, provide expert lending advice and financial solutions, drive efficiencies and create deeper client coverage and engagement.

• Ashburton or Timaru
• Full time, Permanent position

Your proactive work ethic will ensure you are able to build better solutions for our Agribusiness customers. You will have a passion for the agribusiness industry, be tertiary qualified with either an Agribusiness or Business discipline and have relevant banking/lending, business or farming experience.

In Addition, You Will Have

• Experience within the banking/financial services industry preferred
• Comprehensive understanding of business/commercial and farm management practices
• Tertiary qualification in Agribusiness or Finance
• History of delighting customers in a service capacity
• Ability to recognise areas of opportunity, to adapt and innovate and to drive productivity.
• Agribusiness lending experience and credit risk knowledge will be advantageous.
