Job summary

Hancocks Family Merchants in Christchurch is seeking a dedicated Storeperson to join our fast-paced warehouse team. You will handle picking, warehousing tasks, and operate reach truck and buggy forklifts as required, contributing to our continued growth in the New Zealand liquor industry.

Key requirements include warehousing experience, a valid forklift license (Reach Truck and buggy experience), good numeracy, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 20 kg repeatedly.

Qualifications

• Some picking/warehousing experience is required.
• Forklift license with Reach Truck and buggy experience.
• Must pass a drug test.
• Must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
• Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 20 kg repeatedly.
• Strong numeracy and reliable attendance.
• Health and safety awareness is essential.

Job description

Hancocks Family Merchantsare a 100% New Zealand family-owned and operated business. With a sizeable portfolio of premium brands, the company is one of the key players within the liquor industry and experiencing significant growth.

We are currently seeking an additional store person to join our fast-paced Christchurch warehouse.

Sunday 10am - 6.30pm, Mon - Thursday 2pm to 10.30pm.

Requirements:

Have some Picking/Warehousing Experience

Forklift license (Reach Truck and Buggy experience required).

The start rate will vary depending on the Role and your experience.

Must past a Drug test.

Must already live in NZ and have an open Work Visa, Residence or Citizenship.

Must have a good work ethic and show up for work on consistently and on time.

Must have a health and health safety first approach to work.

Required attributes:

Strong numeracy

Physically Fit and able to lift up to 20 kg's repeatedly throughout the day.

Good work ethic
