Job summary

New Zealand Labour Hire is recruiting for a Machine Operator Assistant for our Hastings-based client in the cardboard packaging sector. The role is afternoons, Monday to Friday, 3.20pm to 11.20pm, on-site in a production environment.

You will bring proven factory experience, mechanical aptitude, and a strong team ethic. Candidates must be physically fit, able to handle manual tasks, pass a pre-employment drug test, and have a clean criminal background.

• Proven experience within a factory environment.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Reliable with a great work ethic.
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Operate and assist in daily production tasks in a factory setting.
• Support machine operators and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Collaborate with team to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Follow health and safety rules and report hazards promptly.
