Junioradventuresgroup is seeking an enthusiastic Programme Assistant to help create a safe, supportive after-school environment for tamariki. You’ll work with the Programme Manager, assist with homework, and run engaging activities from arts to STEM, while promoting inclusion and confidence.

You’ll roster across Monday to Friday, with shifts from 2:10pm–5:30pm and potential extra hours during school holidays from 7:00am–6:00pm. Join a fun, supportive team and grow with ongoing training.

Competenze

• Experience with children through babysitting, coaching, tutoring, childcare, holiday programmes, volunteering, youth groups, or similar activities.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork.

• Support tamariki in a safe, inclusive, and positive environment.
• Assist children with homework and learning activities, encouraging confidence and independence.
• Deliver arts and crafts, sports, games, STEM challenges, baking, and creative projects.
• Support the Programme Manager to ensure sessions run smoothly and children remain engaged.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and school staff.
• Help maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming programme environment.
• Monitor children's wellbeing and communicate concerns to the Programme Manager.
