Job summary

sKids is seeking a Programme Assistant to support after-school Tamariki with fun, safe activities. You’ll work a minimum of 10 hours per week across Monday to Friday, with shifts from 2:30pm to 6:00pm and potential holidays hours from 7am to 6pm.

You’ll help supervise, keep spaces tidy, and support the Programme Manager to run energetic sessions. Applicants should have the right to work in New Zealand, be able to reach Newlands sites, and be enthusiastic about working with kids.

Qualifications

• Right to work in New Zealand (valid visa or citizenship)
• Can get to Newlands sites with reliable transport
• Enthusiastic about working with kids – babysitting, coaching, volunteering counted
• Reliable, energetic and keen to make every session special

Responsibilities

• Supervising and supporting Tamariki in fun, safe activities
• Keeping spaces tidy, clean, and welcoming for children
• Helping Programme Manager run smooth, energetic sessions
• Spotting hiccups (behaviour, wellbeing, safety) and communicating with manager
