Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Christchurch Engine Centre is seeking two skilled tradespeople to join the NDT team in a permanent, full-time position. You will work in defined processes with a strong focus on safety and quality, and you will receive comprehensive training and onboarding.

The role involves learning NDT methods, handling engine parts, and documenting work in the company system, while adhering to health and safety requirements. It is a safety-sensitive role with medical and drug/alcohol testing.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification NZQA Level 4 in Aviation, Automotive or Mechanical with 5 years Aviation Maintenance experience.
• Please provide copies of qualifications on application.
• Must be legally able to work in New Zealand.
• Must hold NDT L2 certifications per NAS410 / EN4179 in Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Eddy Current or Ultrasonics.
• Must be able to work in defined processes with a strong safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Work in the NDT section on engine parts in accordance with approved data and procedures.
• Learn various NDT methods required to process engine parts.
• Use the computer system to document and record your work.
• Ensure that your work meets all health and safety requirements.
• This is a safety sensitive role requiring medical and drug & alcohol testing.
