Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel at Auckland airport seeks an Aerospace Operational Care Manager to lead the Air Logistics Aerospace operations team across NZ. You will drive operational excellence through the shipment cycle for Import/Export, ensure compliant documentation, and collaborate across Customer Care, Sales, and Revenue to enhance customer experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills; proven track record of leading a high performing team.
• Ability to form and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in fast-paced, transformative environments with tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of Import/Export Air Logistics processes, including AOG shipments.
• Capable of prioritising time and managing workload under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Drive and support the team to maintain operational excellence through shipment cycles for Import/Export Air Logistics Aerospace movements.
• Ensure documentation is completed per processes and regulatory requirements; liaise with authorities as needed.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with Customer Care, Sales, Systems & Processes, Revenue and Customs teams.
• Lead process improvements and implement changes with key stakeholders.
• Maintain strong relationships with Aerospace customers and overseas offices/agents.
• Ensure data quality for timely, accurate customer reporting.
• Increase spot quote ratio for AOG/Engines and manage end-to-end shipment performance.
• Provide direct people leadership, conduct performance and development conversations.
• Participate in Air Logistics Management Team to achieve overall goals and KN CX/EX initiatives.
