Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Waitematā invites applications for an Advanced Physiotherapy Clinician in the Pain Service, 0.9 FTE (72 hours per fortnight). You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering advanced assessment and evidence-based rehabilitation for persistent pain, aiming to improve function and quality of life.

The role emphasizes autonomous practice within a collaborative setting, clinical leadership, and contribution to service development and education.

Qualifications

• Registration with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand and an Annual Practising Certificate.
• Significant post-graduate clinical experience in persistent/complex pain.
• Ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and service improvement.
• Post-graduate pain management qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced assessment and physiotherapy management for persistent pain.
• Deliver evidence-based rehabilitation to improve function and quality of life.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including medical specialists, psychologists, nurses and other allied health professionals.
• Facilitate both individual and group-based rehabilitation programmes.
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement and interdisciplinary education.
• Provide clinical leadership and support to physiotherapy colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team.
