Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Waikato Hospital is seeking a Speech Language Therapist to join the adult outpatient service. The role involves assessment and intervention for adults with communication and swallowing disorders, mainly in outpatient clinics and rural sites, with a supportive MDT.

• NZSTA membership or eligibility is required to practice as a Speech Language Therapist in NZ.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and intervention for adults with communication and swallowing difficulties.
• Deliver services in outpatient clinics and rural clinics, often collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to specialist diagnostic assessment and intervention for adult patients.
• Engage in evidence-based practice and maintain documentation according to clinical standards.
