Job summary

Waikato Hospital in Hamilton, part of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, invites applications for a Speech Language Therapist in its Adult Outpatient service. Applicants should have 2+ years of experience, NZSTA eligibility, and a current NZ driving licence.

Qualifications

• NZSTA membership or eligibility required.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Speech Language Therapy from an NZSTA-accredited programme.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team and focus on patient goals.
• Current valid New Zealand driver's licence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; culturally safe with Te Tiriti.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and intervention for adults with speech, language and swallowing needs.
• Deliver diagnostic assessments and intervention with a specialist MDT at Waikato Hospital.
• Collaborate across inpatient and outpatient services to support patient care.
