Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Hamilton invites an experienced administrator to join the Supported Transfer and Accelerated Rehabilitation Team (START). Based in Hamilton with travel to Taumarunui and Te Kuiti as needed, you will help schedule daily workloads and maintain patient records.

You will handle phone calls, provide customer service, and work within an interdisciplinary team to support safe, efficient home-based rehabilitation.

About the Role

Exciting opportunity for asuitably experienced administratorto join the Hamilton Supported Transfer and Accelerated Rehabilitation team (START), which forms part of the wider START service. This position is based in Hamilton, but it also supports the team in Taumarunui and Te Kuiti. While based in Hamilton, there may be a requirement to travel and support the other bases.

About the Team/Service

START (Supported Transfer and Accelerated Rehabilitation Team) is an Older Persons and Rehabilitation led programme whichprovides and promotes rehabilitation of patients within their home environment.

START aims to reduce the pressure on hospital beds, through avoiding hospital admissions, earlier discharge, preventing readmissions and improving the quality of care for this group of patients.
