Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Waikato is seeking a payroll and HR administrator to support employee files, payroll documents and related resources in a fast-paced environment. The role involves handling a wide range of tasks within the Payroll Team, applying strong attention to detail, time management and analytical skills.

You will need to work with MS Excel and Word and understand HR/payroll legislation and contracts.

Qualifications

  • NCEA level 3 or relevant work experience.
  • Medium to Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, Word.
  • An understanding of HR and Payroll related legislation as it applies to the Health Service.
  • An understanding of collective agreements and individual employment contracts.
  • Undertake shift work if and when needed.

About the Role

The purpose of this role is to provide the administration of Health New Zealand Waikato employee files and relevant payroll documents and resources.

This is an exciting, wide-ranging role in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, where you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks for and within the Payroll Team

Youll have the chance to demonstrate your skills in analysis, time and task management, as well as your attention to detail and accuracy.

About you
  • NCEA level 3 or relevant work experience
  • Medium to Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, Word
  • An understanding of HR and Payroll related legislation as it applies to the Health Service
  • An understanding of collective agreements and individual employment contracts
  • Undertake shift work if and when needed
Desired Skills:
  • PeopleSoft and OneStaff experience is advantageous
