Job summary

Oceania is seeking a part-time Activities Assistant for Eversley Village in Hastings. You will collaborate with the Diversional Therapist to design and run engaging activities for residents, tailoring programmes to individual needs and abilities while promoting participation.

Join a dedicated team within a nationwide Oceania network, with a focus on creating safe, enjoyable experiences. The role requires weekend availability and full NZ working rights.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in planning and coordinating activities.
  • Empathy for the elderly and great people skills.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills.
  • Full working rights in New Zealand.

Responsibilities

The role

Our Eversley Village in Hastings are looking for a part-time Activities Assistant to join their dedicated team.

What you’ll be doing
  • Working closely with our Diversional Therapist to create and implement fun and varied activities programmes for our residents
  • Understanding residents’ needs and abilities and encouraging them to take part in activities
  • Following our company policies and procedures to create a safe environment for our residents.
What you’ll bring
  • Previous experience in planning and coordinating activities
  • Great people skills with empathy for the elderly
  • Excellent communication and IT skills
  • A vibrant and energetic personality
  • A clean NZ drivers’ licence
  • Flexible multitasking skillsThe ability to work in the weekends.
  • All applicants must have full working rights in New Zealand
