Job summary

HealthNew Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Christchurch is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with endoscopy expertise to join the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Unit as Associate Clinical Nurse Manager.

The unit performs 14,000+ procedures per year and serves as a regional referral centre; you will lead on the floor, support staff, and drive quality improvements while collaborating with the nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC.
• Strong leadership experience with highly effective interpersonal skills.
• Expert knowledge and experience in the endoscopy nursing specialty.
• Ability to manage complex situations with an innovative and solution‑focused approach.
• Currently hold or be working towards a relevant Post Graduate qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective leadership on the floor in the endoscopy unit, supporting our staff and working closely with our senior nursing team.
• You will drive quality improvements and ensure optimum care for patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the hospital campus to optimise service delivery.

Anopportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Nurse; with expert endoscopy knowledge and skills to join our teamas an Associate Clinical Nurse Manager.

TheGastrointestinal Endoscopy Unit is a dynamic, patient focused unit. We prideourselves in being innovative, forward thinking and up to date with technologyand change.

TheGastrointestinal Endoscopy Unit undertakes 14,000+ diagnosticand interventional endoscopy procedures per year and provides othergastrointestinal services to the Canterbury population.

Itis also a secondary and tertiary referral service for the South Island, with astrong research programme that is recognised internationally, in addition to anactive undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching programme.

Mostof our nursing team, work in the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Unit; apurpose-built facility with eight procedure rooms andtwo recovery areas across two floors. The service also providesspecialist endoscopy nursing support to other areas of the ChristchurchHospital campus such as Waipapa, Parkside Operating Theatres, InterventionalRadiology, and ICU. The endoscopy unit is operational Monday to Friday, with anafter-hours on-call nursing service.
