Trial Balance in Wellington is seeking an Accounts Semi Senior to join its friendly team. You will work on a varied portfolio of clients, preparing year-end accounts and assisting with tax and VAT returns.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice is required.
• AAT qualifications would be advantageous; qualified by experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Assist with personal and corporate tax returns.
• Complete VAT returns and bookkeeping tasks as needed.
• Build and maintain positive client relationships and provide practical support.

Key responsibilities of this Accounts Semi Senior position will include:

• Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Assisting with personal and corporate tax returns
• Completing VAT returns and bookkeeping assignments where required
• Building positive relationships with clients and providing practical support with their day-to-day accounting requirements
• Working closely with senior colleagues to ensure assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines

The successful Accounts Semi Senior candidate will:

Have previous experience working within an accountancy practice and be looking to build on that experience as they progress their career.

AAT qualifications would be advantageous, although candidates who are qualified by experience will also be considered. You'll be organised, pro-active and confident communicating with clients and colleagues, with a genuine commitment to delivering a high standard of work.
