Job summary

SeaLink New Zealand Limited is seeking a detail-focused Accounts Payable Officer to support supplier invoices, coding and payments across our passenger, freight, logistics and commuter services. This on-site role is part-time, 25 hours per week, based in Auckland CBD.

You will manage invoice validation, payment runs, supplier queries and month-end activities, supporting strong financial controls in a fast-paced maritime environment. Prior AP experience and Excel skills preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years' experience in an Accounts Payable or Finance role.
• Intermediate Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
• Experience in a high-volume transactional environment is preferred.
• Experience using ERP systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately with correct coding and approvals.
• Validate invoices against purchase orders or supporting documentation.
• Manage invoice workflows to meet payment deadlines.
• Prepare payment runs in line with schedules and approvals.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Act as primary contact for supplier queries.
• Maintain accurate AP records and documentation.
• Assist with month-end activities including accruals and reconciliations.
• Identify process improvements to enhance controls and efficiency.
