Job summary

Schick Civil Construction Limited is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team in Te Rapa. This role supports Accounts Payable, drives process improvements, and helps optimise finance systems in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Accounts Team Lead, you will help deliver accurate financial records and assist with month-end activities while contributing to projects that improve workflows and efficiencies. This is a part-time role with strong development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an accounts, finance, administration, or bookkeeping role.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and support Accounts Payable activities
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Assist with month-end processes and reporting
• Support the implementation and optimisation of finance systems and automation tools
• Contribute to projects focused on Accounts Payable improvements and workflow efficiencies
• Identify opportunities for improvement and help implement practical solutions
