Gleeson Group is seeking an organised and detail focused Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team based in Wiri.
This is a varied role supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the Group, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, month-end processes and general finance administration.

About the role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will help ensure our financial transactions and records are processed accurately and on time.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Processing supplier invoices and customer transactions
Raising customer invoices and allocating payments
Completing bank receipting and reconciliations
Monitoring accounts payable and receivable balances
Following up outstanding accounts and resolving discrepancies
Reconciling supplier statements and customer accounts, responding to supplier, customer and internal finance enquiries
Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting documentation
Assisting with month-end and year-end processes, including journals and accruals
Supporting the preparation of financial, cashflow and management reports
Setting up and maintaining supplier and customer accounts
Assisting with finance projects, reporting and process improvements
About you
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
Previous experience in an accounts or finance administration role
Experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Good organisational and time-management skills
Confidence using accounting systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
The ability to investigate discrepancies and follow matters through to resolution
A professional and helpful approach when dealing with customers, suppliers and colleagues
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A commitment to workplace health and safety
