Job description

Additional Benefits | Great Team Culture

We’re recruiting for an established business experiencing significant growth, with a strong pipeline of work and exciting opportunities ahead. As the organisation continues to expand, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business where you can build your experience, contribute to its ongoing success and develop your career over the longer term.

You’ll work across multiple entities in a varied, hands‑on accounting role, gaining exposure to a broad range of financial activities and working closely with colleagues across the business.

You’ll be joining a supportive and collaborative finance team that values open communication, sharing knowledge and working together to get things done. You’ll be trusted to take ownership of your work, encouraged to contribute ideas and supported to continue developing your technical and commercial skills.

What you’ll be doing

This is a varied role offering involvement across a broad range of accounting activities, including:

  • Managing month-end accounting, journals, reconciliations and general ledger activities across multiple entities.
  • Preparing monthly accounts through to trial balance and providing initial variance commentary.
  • Managing GST, intercompany reconciliations and fixed asset reporting, including Capex and Opex.
  • Working with colleagues across the business to support accurate financial reporting and accounting requirements.
  • Providing cashflow, budgeting and forecasting support.
  • Assisting with audit, tax compliance, statutory reporting and ongoing process improvements.
What you’ll bring

You’ll be an organised, proactive accountant who enjoys working collaboratively, takes ownership of their responsibilities and is motivated to keep learning.

Ideally, you’ll bring
  • Around 3–5 years’ or more practical accounting experience, including working across multiple entities.
  • Strong month-end, reconciliation and general ledger skills, with a sound understanding of accounting principles.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
  • An accounting degree and/or CA, CPA or CIMA qualification, completed or nearing completion. If you’re still completing your qualification, you’ll need your own external mentor.
  • Good communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with colleagues outside finance.
  • A curious, improvement-focused approach and a willingness to contribute ideas.

Experience in a complex or multi-entity business would be beneficial, but your core accounting capability, attitude and willingness to learn are just as important.

What’s on offer?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business experiencing significant growth, offering the potential for long-term stability, a varied role and opportunities to develop your career.

You’ll also receive a competitive salary and a number of additional benefits, while being part of a supportive team where collaboration and development are valued.

If you’re looking for your next move and want to join a growing organisation where you can broaden your accounting experience, make a meaningful contribution and build for the future, we’d love to hear from you.

You’ll need to hold New Zealand citizenship, residency, or a valid work visa.

If this isn’t quite the right fit, another role might be.

We believe diversity is vital to a healthy, high-performing workplace. That’s why we’re committed to delivering a psychologically safe recruitment experience. One that uncovers and celebrates your strengths. If traditional hiring processes don’t bring out your best let us know. We want you to shine, not shy away.
