Job summary

Enviro NZ Dunedin is seeking a reliable Truck Driver to join our local team. You will operate our trucks, conduct daily safety checks, and collect waste and recycling materials while delivering excellent customer service to our communities.

Aspiring candidates should be physically fit, able to work early mornings and weekends if required, and be eligible to reside in New Zealand. Training and support are provided by our Driver Trainer.

As a professional Truck Driver, you will be responsible for daily vehicle checks to ensure your vehicle is safe & sound, always operating our industry specific trucks in a safe manner, collecting waste and recycling materials and providing great service to our customers and the wider community.

As a driver for Enviro NZ Dunedin, you will expect:

• Training by our in-house Driver Trainer to operate our vehicles, including high-quality brand-new trucks.

In return, we expect from our drivers to:

• Have a clean Class 2 or Class 1 full and if you’re motivated, we can train you up and assist with gaining further licences.
• Complete a daily check on your vehicle before driving each morning.
• Be able to work early in the morning and on the weekends if required.
• Be physically fit and enjoy keeping fit, some of our drivers walk 14K steps a day.
• Turn up to work every day on time and leave when your shift’s finished.
• Operate our trucks and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
• Work with team mates to give our customers great service every day.

Our recruitment process involves a Ministry of Justice criminal background check, and a pre-employment medical including drug test.

Applicants must also have NZ residency or a NZ open work visa.
