Job summary

Sonder is expanding its Response Network in New Zealand, seeking experienced individuals to join as Sonder Responders in a casual, on-call capacity based near Wellington. You will provide in-person support to members, coordinate with the Support Centre, and help manage on-call shifts.

Ideal candidates come from emergency services, military, law enforcement, or mental health backgrounds, with strong empathy, quick decision-making, and ability to work flexible hours in a high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in emergency services, military, law enforcement or mental health sectors.
• High empathy and ability to assess critical situations quickly.
• Ability to work flexible, on-call roster and nominate hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person support to members during on-site responses.
• Coordinate with the Support Centre and respond to incidents as required.
• Assist in building and expanding the network in New Zealand from the ground up.
