Job summary

New City College in London is seeking a dynamic Work Experience Coordinator for the Digital & IT curriculum. You will build and maintain employer relationships to secure placements and oversee the work experience program, ensuring placements meet required standards.

You will support students throughout their placements, collaborate with academic staff to embed work experience into learning, and monitor effectiveness to drive improvements.

What skills and experience we're looking for

The Role:

New City College is looking for a dynamic and driven individual to play a vital role in supporting our students to gain valuable experience in the workplace supporting the Digital and IT Curriculum area.

Employer engagement is key to the success of this role. You will build, develop, and maintain relationships with local, regional, and national organisations to provide employer engagement opportunities for our students, through developing existing relationships, cold calling, and networking opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Building and maintaining relationships with employers to secure work experience placements for students.
  • Coordinating and managing the work experience program, ensuring all placements meet the required standards.
  • Supporting students throughout their work experience, providing guidance and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Collaborating with academic staff to integrate work experience into the curriculum.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the work experience program and making improvements as needed.
Who You Are:

We are seeking someone who is passionate about education and student development, with excellent communication and networking skills. You should be proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Experience in a similar role or environment is desirable.
