Job summary

Odfjell Technology is seeking an experienced Wireline Tool Supervisor to support offshore and land-based wireline intervention operations across the Norwegian continental shelf and Europe.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe preparation, operation, maintenance, and execution of wireline services while delivering high-quality performance to our customers in demanding operating environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years wireline field experience.
• Experience with offshore-based wireline intervention operations.
• Knowledge of pressure control equipment, lubricators, grease systems and downhole tools.
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills and safety compliance.
• Ability to read technical procedures and operational documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, test, and operate wireline tools offshore and land-based.
• Execute wireline intervention programs per procedures and customer requirements.
• Monitor well conditions and equipment performance during operations.
• Ensure work complies with HSE policies and regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot tool and surface equipment issues in the field.
• Complete job documentation, field tickets and reports accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of equipment and work areas.
• Participate in safety meetings, pre-job planning and post-job reviews.
• Support inventory management and equipment mobilization.
• Work rotational schedules and respond to operational demands.

This role requires strong technical knowledge of wireline intervention equipment, the ability to work in fast-paced field conditions, and a commitment to operational excellence, safety, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, test, and operate wireline conveyed downhole tools for offshore and land based operations

• Execute wireline intervention programs in accordance with company procedures and customer requirements

• Monitor well conditions and equipment performance during operations

• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with HSE policies, customer standards, and regulatory requirements

• Troubleshoot downhole tool and surface equipment issues in the field

• Complete job documentation, field tickets, maintenance records, and operational reports accurately and timely

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of assigned equipment and work areas

• Participate in safety meetings, pre-job planning, JSAs, and post-job reviews

• Support inventory management and equipment mobilization activities

• Work rotational schedules and respond to operational demands as required

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required

• Minimum 5+ years of wireline field experience preferred

• Experience with offshore-based wireline intervention operations

• Knowledge of pressure control equipment, lubricators, grease systems, and downhole tools

• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to read and understand technical procedures and operational documentation

• Strong commitment to safety and operational compliance

• Ability to travel extensively and work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends

• Ability to work in physically demanding environments and lift equipment as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with slickline, braided line, and/or electric line operations

• Relevant certifications such as:
  oHUET/BOSIET
  oSafeGulf
  oTWIC Card
  oH2S Certification
  oFirst Aid/CPR

• CDL license is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs

• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at heights

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and offshore conditions

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
