Job description

VP Head of Nordics EVP Office

Do you have a strategic mindset and want to help set and drive the Telenor Nordics agenda? Are you experienced in supporting C-level executives and possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills? Come join our Nordic team!

Telenor Nordics is seeking a structured VP Head of Nordic EVP Office who will assist the EVP in setting the agenda, help prioritize and prepare not only the EVP Nordics but also the entire Nordic Management Team (NMT). You will ensure efficient management of the NMT agenda and act as a key liaison between the EVP Nordics and internal and external stakeholders.

In this role, you will work closely with the EVP, members of the NMT, relevant Business Units (BUs), and Group functions. You will ensure productive collaboration with the EVP's executive assistant and the Nordic Head of Communications. You are expected to actively participate in NMT to ensure consistency and strategic focus in the plans for the EVP's work and time. This includes coordinating and managing the preparations for the EVP in key meetings, the NMT agenda, and driving specific initiatives on behalf of the EVP/NMT.

Responsibilities include:

  • Initiate, facilitate, and distribute agendas for NMT meetings, ensuring follow-up on action points by relevant units.
  • Prepare and distribute agendas for Business Area Management (BAM) meetings, ensuring relevant topics are addressed and acted upon.
  • Support the EVP and participate in/driving key initiatives on behalf of the EVP.
  • Oversee coordination of all requests to the EVP, including programs, projects, and pre-meeting briefings, conducting research and ensuring actions are completed according to the agenda.
  • Drive initiatives, organize meetings and events (e.g., summits, leadership seminars, strategy meetings) on behalf of the EVP, ensuring EVP buy-in and preparation.
  • Coordinate and manage the execution of key EVP-driven initiatives across the company by tracking deadlines and deliverables.
  • Ensure alignment and follow-up on strategic priorities, working closely with Nordic CEOs, SVPs, and BU leadership teams.

To succeed, you should:

  • Have a high degree of strategic focus, initiative, independence, and a systematic approach. Be comfortable setting the agenda and working independently on key initiatives.
  • Possess extensive experience in project management and administrative work, preferably with C-level executives on strategic initiatives.
  • Have excellent stakeholder management skills and be adept at top-level communication in Norwegian and English.
  • Be strategic with strong understanding and the ability to deliver, prioritize, and focus.
  • Handle workload effectively, managing pressure and stressful situations while reassuring colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • A master’s degree in business, strategy, or a related field is preferred.
  • Have a proven track record of executing initiatives both independently and collaboratively.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of budget management, financial reporting, analysis, and proficiency in MS Office applications.
