As Vice President, Risk, you will play a key role in further developing the risk management function for the Blue Ocean portfolio. We are expanding our team reflecting the fund’s growth and the need for increased capacity and expertise in the risk assessment and portfolio analysis area. You will work closely with the investment and portfolio teams to ensure decisions are made on a solid analytical foundation. This role reports to the Managing Director of Risk Management in Oslo.
Responsibilities and tasks
- contribute to maintaining and developing the risk management framework, processes, and workflows
- process and structure data
- analyze financial statements
- assess and analyze credit and equity risk
- gather market intelligence and prepare market analysis
- monitor the portfolio
- prepare reports and presentations for the deal team, portfolio managers, and investment committee
Desired qualifications- advanced master’s degree (or equivalent) in finance, economics, risk management, business, or a related field
- 3–8 years of relevant work experience
- experience in credit and equity financial analysis, preferably with a risk focus
- advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- good understanding of loan agreements and equity structures
- solid knowledge of the maritime industry
- comprehensive understanding of financial statements
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- fluent in English
