Drive change and lead as Vice President Engineering in Kongsberg Maritime

Are you looking to make an impact in the offshore industry? Join us as our Vice President of Engineering with the ambition to improve the offshore business while taking part in the green shift.

The Engineering department within Offshore Production System (OPS) is the resource pool within OPS. Our delivery projects are manned with engineers organized in this unit. The team consists of several disciplines with leaders reporting into this position.

We are looking for a new Vice President to further develop and manage our great team and ensure we have the right competence, capacity, and culture to meet the needs of a constantly changing and developing business.

As our Vice President, you will be expected to have a strategic mindset and a good business mentality. We anticipate you will make things happen and accept responsibility for results. The right candidate should be methodical and systematic in approach, with an inner drive to lead and maximize team potential. Delivering world-class solutions requires highly motivated employees with passion and curiosity – and we need our new Vice President to lead the way.

Key Accountabilities

1. Lead and manage the strategic development of the entity and contribute to the strategic development of the Business Unit
2. Full operational management of the department
3. Lead a team of leaders
4. Ensure good collaboration with stakeholders required for the unit to operate efficiently in respect to current and future business
5. Financial budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
6. Drive continuous business improvements
7. Strengthen and develop the department to be capable of delivering tomorrow’s projects

Qualifications And Experience

1. Minimum 10 years’ experience with management in the industry
2. Managerial experience leading multi-disciplinary and diverse teams
3. Experience in management of change
4. International experience and the ability to build a collaborative and effective global workforce
5. Experience with strategic workforce planning is an advantage
6. Minimum Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
7. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
